Monitoring and enforcement of conflict policy - the vp of finance of care alliance and treasurer of alliance for a bright future, inc. Has been identified as the individual responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the conflict of interest policy. The vp of finance and treasurer reviews the annual disclosure forms of covered persons and compiles and maintains a list of potentially conflicted entities and individuals. The vp of finance and treasurer follws the procedures of the policy to determine whether a conflict of interest exists and the procedures for addressing it. The vp of finance and treasurer documents the decisions related to transactions involving an actual or possible conflict of interest and the appropriate action taken. Such decisions are made by individuals who do not have a conflict with respect to the transaction.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Fin 48 (asc 740) footnote - the following is an excerpt from a footnote in the consolidated financial statements of care alliance and alliance for a bright future, inc. And refers to both organizations as "the agency": the agency adopted the accounting standard on accounting for uncertainty in income taxes, which addresses the determination of whether tax benefits claimed or expected to be claimed on a tax return should be recorded in the consolidated financial statements. Under this guidance, the agency may recognize the tax benefit from an uncertain tax position only if it is more likely than not that the tax position will be sustained on examination by taxing authorities, based on the technical merits of the position. Examples of tax positions include the tax-exempt status of the agency and various positions related to the potential sources of unrelated business taxable income ("ubti"). The tax benefits recognized in the consolidated financial statements from such a position are measured based on the largest benefit that has a greater than 50% likelihood of being realized upon ultimate settlement. The guidance on accounting for uncertainty in income taxes also addresses derecognition, classification, interest and penalties on income taxes, and accounting in interim periods. At october 31, 2018 and 2017, there were no unrecognized tax benefits identified or recorded as liabilities.

AND REFERS TO BOTH ORGANIZATIONS AS "THE AGENCY": THE AGENCY ADOPTED THE ACCOUNTING STANDARD ON ACCOUNTING FOR UNCERTAINTY IN INCOME TAXES, WHICH ADDRESSES THE DETERMINATION OF WHETHER TAX BENEFITS CLAIMED OR EXPECTED TO BE CLAIMED ON A TAX RETURN SHOULD BE RECORDED IN THE CONSOLIDATED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.
