Part III Line 2

New member services offered included: 1. Social Justice and Disability Justice Workshops: Key programs to educate and empower communities and professionals, providing essential education to these groups on equity, inclusion, and advocacy for the Deaf, DeafPlus, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing community. Participants gain a deeper understanding of systemic barriers, social inequalities, and the ways discrimination impacts the target communities. This program also provides practical strategies for fostering allyship, promoting accessibility, and advocating for policies that contribute to a more just and inclusive society. 2. Deaf Socials: Community events offered at no cost to Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafPlus, and Hard of Hearing individuals, creating a welcoming and inclusive space for social interaction and connection. These events aim to reduce the loneliness, isolation, and communication barriers that many individuals face in their daily lives. To ensure accessibility and encourage participation, MDMC provides food and transportation for all attendees.
