Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

I. Purpose of the policy. The purpose of this policy is to create a process for preparation and review of the Form 990 and its distribution to all board members of Children of The Immaculate Heart prior to filing with the Internal Revenue Service. This process will provide the board members the opportunity to review the Form 990 while also ensuring that annual filing deadlines may be met. II. Procedure for preparation and review of Form 990.A. Preparation of Form 990. The organization's treasurer is responsible for the timely preparation of the Form 990. The organization's treasurer may confer with accountants and legal counsel of the organization with respect to drafts of the Form 990.B. Review of Form 990 before filing. Copies of the completed draft Form 990 (including required schedules) will be distributed to the finance committee in either electronic or paper form for review and approval. Any questions or concerns will be noted and addressed, and management staff will ensure that changes are incorporated into the Form 990 as appropriate.III. Distribution of Form 990 to all members of the governing body. After all input has been appropriately addressed, the final version of the Form 990 (with required schedules) will be distributed to every voting member of the organization's Board of Directors prior to filing with the IRS. The final form may be distributed either in paper or electronic form in any manner deemed appropriate by the organization's treasurer.IV. Filing of Form 990. After the final version of the Form 990 has been distributed pursuant to paragraph III above, management staff will cause the final Form 990 to be filed as required.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

It is the responsibility of the board to monitor and enforce the conflict of interest policy. Any board member who has a potential "self-dealing transaction or other type of conflict of interest will be asked to leave the room during the board meeting for a period of time for the board to discuss the matter and to hold a vote. The member with the potential conflict will not be allowed to participate in said discussion or vote.In addition to our own conflict of interest policy, we follow the guidelines for such conflicts as laid out in, "Facts You Need to Know: Group Home Board of Directors" published by the California Department of Social Service, Community Care Licensing Division; Child and Family Services Division which is available online at:https://www.cdss.ca.gov/cdssweb/entres/forms/English/pub326.pdf

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15A

The CEO is hired by the Board of Directors, as outlined in our By-Laws. Reviews of the CEO are also carried out by the Board of Directors as outlined in our HR manual. Compensation for the CEO and top management are determined by the board in the approval of the annual budget. Any significant changes to top management wages or any change at all to the CEO's compensation must be approved by the Board of Directors. Review of the top management staff will be carried out by the CEO.

IRS990/Desc0In 2024, the St. Bakhita's Program provided specialized support to 29 women who are survivors of sex trafficking. We focus on helping those who have children, as they often face greater challenges in finding housing and accessing other services. We also serve single women. Our core services include:-Case management-Housing navigation and rental assistance-Individual and family counseling-Financial coachingWe also connect clients with other community providers for any additional support they may need. Our program offers an intensive level of care, with our case manager and counselor available to meet with each woman weekly. We assist with both their material needs and provide the human and spiritual support necessary for their journey to recovery.

Specifically, Children of The Immaculate Heart serves men, women, and children who are vulnerable due to human trafficking, the commercial sexual exploitation of children, pornography, and the contraceptive and abortion industries. Because human trafficking relies upon the pornography, contraceptive, and abortion industries, CIH seeks to evangelize both the individual human heart and society as a whole so that the aforementioned evils might no longer be causing damage to individuals and our country as a whole. Outreach work will be done to meet women and children in the places where they are at risk. Children of The Immaculate Heart will provide after care for those who want to get out of prostitution, trafficking, or other forms of sexual exploitation. IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0Children of the Immaculate Heart began offering emergency services in the fall of 2023, and the first full year of these services was in 2024. We launched a mobile clinic that enables us to respond to survivors of sex trafficking within 24 hours of them contacting us. Our Program Administrator meets with the individual seeking help at a safe, neutral location like a coffee shop or park to conduct a needs assessment. From there, we help her find safe housing. Once she is secure, we connect her with a case manager from St. Bakhita's Program for longer-term support. In 2024, we provided emergency services to over 29 women.

The purpose of this policy is to create a process for preparation and review of the Form 990 and its distribution to all board members of Children of The Immaculate Heart prior to filing with the Internal Revenue Service. This process will provide the board members the opportunity to review the Form 990 while also ensuring that annual filing deadlines may be met. II. Procedure for preparation and review of Form 990.A. Preparation of Form 990. The organization's treasurer is responsible for the timely preparation of the Form 990. The organization's treasurer may confer with accountants and legal counsel of the organization with respect to drafts of the Form 990.B. Review of Form 990 before filing. Copies of the completed draft Form 990 (including required schedules) will be distributed to the finance committee in either electronic or paper form for review and approval. Any questions or concerns will be noted and addressed, and management staff will ensure that changes are incorporated into the Form 990 as appropriate.III. Distribution of Form 990 to all members of the governing body. After all input has been appropriately addressed, the final version of the Form 990 (with required schedules) will be distributed to every voting member of the organization's Board of Directors prior to filing with the IRS. The final form may be distributed either in paper or electronic form in any manner deemed appropriate by the organization's treasurer.IV. Filing of Form 990. After the final version of the Form 990 has been distributed pursuant to paragraph III above, management staff will cause the final Form 990 to be filed as required.

Any board member who has a potential "self-dealing transaction or other type of conflict of interest will be asked to leave the room during the board meeting for a period of time for the board to discuss the matter and to hold a vote.
