“Transportation can often be a barrier to getting to work and appointments on time. In 2023, we provided 7,542 rides to 25 participants to get them to and from work and other activities safely and on time. Social interaction is frequently cited as one of the top benefits of independent living. A community of friends and being able to do things together and share experiences encourages members to initiate activities themselves beyond the structure group events the organization provides.”
