Form 990-ez, Part III

To establish and maintain support structures for persons with developmental or intellectual disabilities to enable such persons to live independently in a safe environment with the opportunity to engage in meaningful work, social interactiion with peers, educational opportunities, physical activities, training and recreation. This is done by providing safe and timely transportation services to the mission project, its participants, and to other similar organizations.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Transportation can often be a barrier to getting to work and appointments on time. In 2023, we provided 7,542 rides to 25 participants to get them to and from work and other activities safely and on time. Social interaction is frequently cited as one of the top benefits of independent living. A community of friends and being able to do things together and share experiences encourages members to initiate activities themselves beyond the structure group events the organization provides.
