Mission

The mission of the mental health and addiction advocacy coalition is to unify diverse local voices to advocate with the golas of (i) increasing awareness of issues that impact people affected by mental illness and addiction disorders;(ii) advancing policies that positively impact ohioans affected by mental health and addiction disorders; and (iii) support of the behavorial health system with broad community involvement and support.currently comprised of over 100 member organizations, the organization joins together mental health and addiction agencies serving both children and adults, health and human services agencies, the faith-based community, education, government, and advocacy organization major medical institutions, and the corporate arena. The organization accomplishes its mission by:- fostering education and awareness of behavorial health issues- advocating for public policies and strategies that provide an effective, well-funded behavorial health system that serves
