“The Avon Community Food Pantry (NFP) (ACFP(NFP))operates a food pantry at 433 E. Washington Street, Round Lake Park IL 60073. Hours of operation are Mon 1 - 4 p.m., Tues & Wed 9:00 - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 - 4:00 pm, Thurs, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Fri 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 .m. and the third Saturday of each month 9_00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The ACFP (NFP)is the operational, programmatic and fiscal manager of the food pantry. We are contracted with the Northern Illinois Food Bank annually and are in good standing. We comply with USDA and Illinois Department of Human Services standards. We are inspected annually. 100% of our assets come from private donations in 2014. We spent $28,332.84 on food purchases from the Northern Illinois Food Bank and fed over 30,000 residents of Avon Township, Lake County Illinois. We employ one part0time employee for 28 hours a week and our support expenses are for rent, liability insurance, workman's compensation insurance, utilities, phone, internet, infrastructure upgrades, office equipment, computers, printers and copy costs. We were granted 501c3 status in September 2013 but dd not begin fund-raising until mid January 2014. There are four directors on the board. No directors receives any form of compensation and we meet monthly.”
