Deep Vellum Publishing is a not-for-profit literary publisher that seeks to enhance the open exchange of ideas among cultures and to connect the worlds greatest untranslated contemporary writers of literature and creative nonfiction with English-language readers for the first time through original translations, while facilitating educational opportunities for students of translation in the Dallas community.

| As of December 2017, Deep Vellum has published 30 books written by authors from 5 continents and 17 countries, and translated from 11 different languages, many of which are significantly underrepresented in commercial fiction. The titles include never before translated works of fiction and creative non-fiction written in the last 50 years by contemporary and modern authors. 29 of our titles are available in ebook format through Amazon, B&N, Google, and other electronic platforms in addition to high-quality trade paperback print books. Our books and related programming initiatives reach an estimated audience of 100,000 per year, with an average of 5,000 readers per title.Our books have gone on to win prestigious literary awards including the CLMP Firecracker Award, the Etisalat Prize for Debut Fiction, and the Typographical Era Translation Award. They have been nominated for the Man Booker International Award, International Dublin Literary Award, PEN Translation Prize, Albertine Prize, and Best Translated Book Award. Deep Vellums titles are regularly reviewed in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Harpers Magazine, NPR, BBC, The Atlantic, The Guardian, Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, Library Journal, Dallas Morning News and more of the worlds leading cultural media.In addition to publishing books, Deep Vellum has collaborated with nationwide partners including independent bookstores, libraries, and universities; the PEN America Foundation; Brooklyn Book Festival; Texas Book Festival; the Association of Writers & Writing Programs; Dallas Book Festival, and more to program over 100 conversations with our authors and translators across the world since our founding. On average, we have an organic reach of nearly 100,000 (19% Texas-based) monthly impressions via Twitter; 2,000 weekly impressions (650-avg Dallas-based) via Facebook; and 2,800 (23% Dallas-based) weekly impressions via Instagram.
