“During 2025 the utah diaper bank was able to accomplish its primary long- term goal of sustainability. The utah diaper bank grew its distribution relationship with the utah food bank into a full take-over of its diaper acquisition and distribution operations. In april 2025 the utah food bank and utah diaper bank began discussions of how to make this transition possible. By late june of 2025 a general transition plan had been agreed to by both parties. The utah food bank began early pilot distributions in august and by november had taken over all the diaper distributions formerly managed by the utah diaper bank. This entity will continue the process of shutting down over the next few years and all cash and assets will transfer to the utah food bank. For the year ending december 2025, the utah diaper bank distributed 2,838,623 diapers in the state of utah. These were distributed via a network of 80 plus non-profit and government agencies throughout the state. Our target was to supply 25-50 diapers a month to each family. We estimate that typically we distribute only about 35 diapers a month to each family. Even at that level we impacted an estimated 81,103 families in 2025. The transition of operations to the utah food bank insures the long-term viability of diaper distribution to utahns in need. The utah food bank has been in operation for over 100 years and as part of the transition has expressed its desire to maintain and grow the distribution network developed by the utah diaper bank.”

THIS ENTITY WILL CONTINUE THE PROCESS OF SHUTTING DOWN OVER THE NEXT FEW YEARS AND ALL CASH AND ASSETS WILL TRANSFER TO THE UTAH FOOD BANK. FOR THE YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 2025, THE UTAH DIAPER BANK DISTRIBUTED 2,838,623 DIAPERS IN THE STATE OF UTAH. THESE WERE DISTRIBUTED VIA A NETWORK OF 80 PLUS NON-PROFIT AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE. OUR TARGET WAS TO SUPPLY 25-50 DIAPERS A MONTH TO EACH FAMILY. THE UTAH DIAPER BANK GREW ITS DISTRIBUTION RELATIONSHIP WITH THE UTAH FOOD BANK INTO A FULL TAKE-OVER OF ITS DIAPER ACQUISITION AND DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS. IN APRIL 2025 THE UTAH FOOD BANK AND UTAH DIAPER BANK BEGAN DISCUSSIONS OF HOW TO MAKE THIS TRANSITION POSSIBLE. BY LATE JUNE OF 2025 A GENERAL TRANSITION PLAN HAD BEEN AGREED TO BY BOTH PARTIES. THE UTAH FOOD BANK BEGAN EARLY PILOT DISTRIBUTIONS IN AUGUST AND BY NOVEMBER HAD TAKEN OVER ALL THE DIAPER DISTRIBUTIONS FORMERLY MANAGED BY THE UTAH DIAPER BANK. THIS ENTITY WILL CONTINUE THE PROCESS OF SHUTTING DOWN OVER THE NEXT FEW YEARS AND ALL CASH AND ASSETS WILL TRANSFER TO THE UTAH FOOD BANK. FOR THE YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 2025, THE UTAH DIAPER BANK DISTRIBUTED 2,838,623 DIAPERS IN THE STATE OF UTAH. THESE WERE DISTRIBUTED VIA A NETWORK OF 80 PLUS NON-PROFIT AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE. OUR TARGET WAS TO SUPPLY 25-50 DIAPERS A MONTH TO EACH FAMILY. WE ESTIMATE THAT TYPICALLY WE DISTRIBUTE ONLY ABOUT 35 DIAPERS A MONTH TO EACH FAMILY. EVEN AT THAT LEVEL WE IMPACTED AN ESTIMATED 81,103 FAMILIES IN 2025. THE TRANSITION OF OPERATIONS TO THE UTAH FOOD BANK INSURES THE LONG-TERM VIABILITY OF DIAPER DISTRIBUTION TO UTAHNS IN NEED. THE UTAH FOOD BANK HAS BEEN IN OPERATION FOR OVER 100 YEARS AND AS PART OF THE TRANSITION HAS EXPRESSED ITS DESIRE TO MAINTAIN AND GROW THE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK DEVELOPED BY THE UTAH DIAPER BANK. |
