A draft of the completed 990 is reviewed by the senior finance staff. Any comments arising from the review are noted on the draft. That draft is submitted to the audit committee for its review and approval. Once the audit committee has completed its review, copies of the approved return will be provided to all board members.

Conflicts of interests are consistently enforced every year. The conflict of interest form is updated and circulated to staff. All staff must disclose on an annual basis whether they are aware of any conflicts. If a conflict were to be found the conflicted person would be recused from matters relating to his/her possible conflict.

Compensation of the officers is reviewed and approved annually by the board of directors of the center. Periodically, the board will use the cclc compensation survey to determine the appropriateness of the compensation packages offered to the chief executive officer of the center. This process includes utilization of a comparative salary analysis with executives of comparable organizations. This process was last undertaken in 2020.
