HOPE PLACE IS NOW OPEN AS THE FIRST TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM FOR HOMELESS YOUNG PEOPLE IN ANOKA COUNTY. HOPE PLACE IS WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP AND UNDER CONTRACT WITH COMMONBOND COMMUNITIES, WHO MANAGE THE PROPERTY, AND YOUTHLINK, WHO PROVIDE CASE MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAMMING. ADDITIONALLY, THE ANOKA COUNTY COORDINATED ENTRY SYSTEM ARE MATCHING OUR SERVICES WITH YOUNG PEOPLE, AGES 18-24 IN A HOUSING FIRST MODEL. ALL OF THESE ENTITIES MEET REGULARLY TO CREATE THE ENVIRONMENT, PROGRAM ASPECTS AND EXPECTATIONS, AND WILL CONTINUE TO MEET INTO THE FUTURE. WE ALSO PARTNER WITH THE ANOKA COUNTY WORKFORCE CENTER TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL PROGRAMMING, TO CONNECT OUR RESIDENTS TO EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL SERVICES. HOPE PLACE NOW HOUSES 12 YOUNG PEOPLE WHILE THEY GAIN THE SKILLS THEY NEED TO BECOME HEALTHY, PRODUCTIVE ADULTS. HOPE PLACE INCLUDES 12 APARTMENTS, A COMMUNITY AREA, A FITNESS CENTER, A SNACK KITCHEN, A STUDY, RESTROOMS, LAUNDRY FACILITIES, OFFICES, AND WE HOPE TO INSTALL A SPORT COURT AND GARDEN THIS SUMMER.
