The graduate center foundation housing corporation lic was formed to foster and enable the achievement and fulfillment of the educational goals of students enrolled at the graduate school and university center, cuny, by creating affordable housing for the use of such graduate students and their families while these students complete their studies.

During the year ended june 30, 2024, the initial preliminary sale agreement from 2023 was dissolved and a new purchase and sale agreement has subsequently been signed with a different buyer. The new purchase and sale agreement is for $21,500,000; the sale will be recognized upon fulfillment of all sales agreement requirements.

The organization, housing and housing - lic are exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (the code), therefore, no provision for income taxes is reflected in the consolidated financial statements. The organization, housing and housing - lic have been classified as publicly supported organizations that are not private foundations under section 509(a) of the code. The organization, housing and housing - lic presently disclose or recognize income tax positions based on management's estimate of whether it is reasonably possible or probable that a liability has been incurred for unrecognized income taxes. Management has concluded that the organization, housing and housing - lic have taken no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment in their consolidated financial statements. U.s.
