Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To communicate scientific information and conduct community outreach activities to increase public awareness of mental illness and dysfunction, and the resulting costs; (b) to obtain and distribute funds for sponsoring, collecting, and analyzing genomic, phenotypic, and other information to identify and understand biological determinants of mental illness and dysfunction; and (c) to fund, support, and conduct research into the scientific development of therapies to address these problems. This corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific and education purposes as specified in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
