“All board members are provided a copy of the form 990 for review. The form 990 is discussed as an agenda item at the subsequent board meeting before the return is filed with the internal revenue service.”
“Annually, the conflict of interest reporting is reviewed by the board. Additionally, and routinely, the board requests all conflicts of interest to be disclosed and/or updated. The organization has an extensive conflict of interest policy that requires any officer, director, or employee with a conflict or potential conflict of interest to disclose all relevant information.”
“All governing documents, policies, and financial statements are available to the public upon request.”
“Centennial state ballet produced five performances:garden party: a senior celebration featured a collaboration with local songwriter/artist ryan spinharney. Ryan performed seven songs as accompaniment to new choreography by ead, kristin kingsley and alumni, claire terhaar performed at roosevelt community park's pavilion.fall showcase featuring the magic flute included choreography by ellie hara and kristin kingsley with flue and piano accompinament. Additional contemporary work was choreographed by viskosity dance collective and performed by members of viskosity dance collective and csb's youth company members.sugar plum tea party returned for the 2021/22 season sponsored, in part, by the dickens opera house.the nutcracker, featured new choreography by kristen demaree, ellie hara, and kristin kingsley and due to ongoing covid restrictions, featured asix-member chamber orchestra.gala performance featuring don quixote was an extended version of stephanie tuley's 2015 excerpted version of don quixote to further tell the story and includes comedic antics of gamache and basilio; a trio for espada, zenaida, and mercedes; plus two more bridesmaid variations during the wedding scene. These additions fill the final production of the season with physical humor and fiery dancing.”
“Company membership: youth performers cultivate a variety of soft skills that help prepare them for their future endeavors, whether or not they choose to pursue dance as a professional career. During the rehearsal process, company members must learn to be attentive, detail-oriented self- advocates who are aware of their responsibilities and the needs of those around them. They learn to work collaboratively to solve problems and to respond respectfully and kindly.when others need their help. They develop a strong work ethic via this process, remaining committed to their own excellence as well as the collaborative success of the overall production. During performance, the company members must perform with clarity and honesty before large audiences. They must react proactively to the challenges that live performance can bring, be it a dropped prop or a missed note in the orchestra. Through live performance, company members realize they can prepare and work to improve their personal success; however, the overall success of the production requires the collaboration of hundreds of individuals, including staff, volunteers, stage hands, and other performers. These are powerful lessons that help our alum succeed now and in the future. For the digital season, garden party 2021: a senior celebration featured six alumni dancers, four senior company members, and twelve additional company members.fall showcase 2021 featuring the magic flute included thirty-seven youth company members and 4 community member volunteers. One alumni performer was hired to perform alongside the youth company. The nutcracker 2021 included fifty-six youth company members performing alongside nine community member volunteers and two members of the artistic staff. Gala performance 2022 featuring don quixote included forty-seven youth company members, two community member volunteers, one member of the artistic staff and one guest artist. Centennial state ballet cultivates a thriving boys ballet program. Boys in ballet develop strength, discipline, stamina, balance, and leadership skills. The challenge, effort, and camaraderie during rehearsals and performances are what motivate and excite our young gentlemen to become strong male role models in both the ballet world and their respective communities.”
