Core activities include: 1)bringing the best sustainability thinking, practices, and programs with a focus on: -preserving a healthy and productive marine environment -accelerating sustainable streams of economic development, particularly eco-friendly tourism -addressing the impacts of climate change and increasing capacity for disaster risk management 2)working with partners to help small member island states achieve target 5 of the un's strategic development goal 14.
