Community Visioning and Beyond Session

The DMA Community Visioning and Beyond session convened individuals representing diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds within the Division Midway Area to deliberate on their respective community goals, aspirations, and overarching vision. A total of 109 community members actively engaged in this session, underscoring its significance as a pivotal platform for soliciting comprehensive feedback. DMA's comprehensive overview of past and ongoing initiatives was complemented by this session, serving as a crucial mechanism for gathering extensive insights from our community stakeholders. These collective visioning sessions will serve as a cornerstone in shaping and recalibrating organizational endeavors for the foresee able future, ensuring alignment with the articulated needs and desires for infrastructure development of our community.

Form 990, Part III, Line 4A - Achievements Festival of Nations

Low Income Fare Program

DMA is one of the recipients of the Fare Relief Program. Under this program, our office is able to issue 2-hour passes, 1-week passes, bi-weekly passes, and monthly passes to low-income community members. DMA is one of the recipients of the Fare Relief Program that serve seniors, people with disabilities, and veterans. There are about 457 community members enrolled in Trimet Fare Relief Program with DMA.

Minority Business Capacity Building Program

We are delivering tailored assistance to 12 program participants with entrepreneurial aspirations. Our efforts include aiding them in crafting comprehensive business plans and navigating available resources. As a result of our support, several of these ventures have secured contracts and experienced growth in their customer base.

Rental Assistance Program

DMA assists Multnomah County residents enrolling in Portland Housing Bureau?s rental assistance program. Through our cultural liaison approach, we assist numerous residents from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds helping such residents sign to SHS and ERAP. DMA has helped 137 low-income families successfully apply for rental assistance through SHS, ERAP and ARPA funds.

Transportation Resource Fair

DMA organized a Transportation Resource Event, drawing attendance from over 80 community members. The event featured presentations from PBOT and Oregon Walks, highlighting their respective programs and objectives, particularly emphasizing pedestrian safety. Targeting BIPOC immigrant and refugee youths aged 16-24, the project seeks to cultivate leadership skills through collaborative creation, culminating in the development of the Midway Mural in partnership with local community muralist. Strategically located on the east side of the DMA building and staircase, the mural will contribute to a more inviting and secure ambiance.
