Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The musuem's mission is two-fold: holocaust commemoration and education. The museum dedicates itself as a primary source institution, one that commemorates those who perished and those who survived by housing the precious artifacts that miraculously weathered the war, the ghettos, and ultimately, the death camps. It is also committed to providing free holocaust education to the public. We are the only holocaust organization in los angeles which guarantees dialogue with an actual survivor, a living embodiment of history.

Two-fold mission: commemoration and education of the holocaust era and its aftermath.

Financial Statement Notes

Part X, Line 2:

Los angeles museum of the holocaust files irs form 990 and state forms 199 and rrf-1. Los angeles museum of the holocaust recognizes the effect of income tax positions only if those positions are more likely than not of being sustained. Management of los angeles museum of the holocaust does not believe the financial statements include any uncertain tax positions. With few exceptions, los angeles museum of the holocaust is no longer subject to u.s. Federal and state examinations by tax authorities for the years before 2013 and 2012, respectively.

IRS990/MissionDesc0THE MUSEUM'S MISSION IS TWO-FOLD: HOLOCAUST COMMEMORATION AND EDUCATION.
