“During 2018, ACGC was contracted with Kellen Company to manage daily business activities. Management fees totaled $131,220 for the year ended December 31, 2018. All major decisions regarding the Organization's mission, goals, and activities are determined by the Board of Directors.”
“ACGC's By-laws were updated and approved April 25, 2018. Article I was amended to add Section 2 Nonprofit Status moving some of the language in the original Section 2 Purposes. Section 3 in the amended By Laws is now the Purpose Section. Article II Rules and Regulations for the Standards of Accreditation for Graduate Programs in Genetic Counseling was added. Composition in the number of board members was changed from 9 to 10. Board terms were changed to begin in July following elections and minor changes were made to the election of officers and directors, filling of vacancies, manner of voting, and Committees sections. Other changes include referencing the Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality policies within the By Laws and Adding an Indemnification Article. The By Laws are made available on the Organization's website.”
“The Form 990 is reviewed by the Executive Director who consults with the Executive Committee as needed. Prior to filing with the IRS, a copy is made available to the entire Board.”
