“Sponsor adoptions mission is to reduce euthanasia and over-crowding in city and community animal shelters through financial support, education, and marketing.”

“Sponsor adoptions works closely with animal shelters and throughout north texas communities to reduce intake as well as sponsor shelter pets, allowing them to be adopted. During 2015 sponsor adoptions helped 301 animals and their families. Pets assisted included pets in area shelters for which sponsor adoptions raised funds for their medical needs, allowing those pets to be adopted, as well as pets in the community, in danger of being surrendered to shelters due to medical or other needs. Participating shelters consider sponsor adoptions a referral source for pets in need in the community, as well as a partner to assist in improving their live release rate of shelter pets.”

“In keeping with sponsor adoptions mission to reduce euthanasia in animal shelters, applicants for financial assistance are required to agree to have all pets in their home spayed and/or neutered. If applicants are unable to pay for that procedures, sponsor adoptions pays (in full or in part) the cost of those procedures. During 2015, sponsor adoptions paid out more than 3,000 and sponsored more than 33 spay/neuters for pets.”
