ITS ACTIVITIES FOCUSED ON MOBILIZING THE LATINO COMMUNITY, PUBLIC OFFICIALS AT THE MUNICIPAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL LEVEL, AND THE PUBLIC AT LARGE. THESE ADVOCACY ACTIVITIES WERE DIRECTED TOWARD PERSUADING THE US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO PRODUCE, VOTE ON, AND PASS SOUND IMMIGRATION REFORM LEGISLATION.NCLRAF WORKED WITH LOCAL HISPANIC ORGANIZATIONS AND VOLUNTEERS TO GENERATE CALLS, CONDUCT IN-DISTRICT VISITS, AND HOLD PUBLIC FORUMS SUCH AS ROUNDTABLES TO CONVEY GRASSROOTS SUPPORT FOR COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM LEGISLATION TO TARGETED MEMBERS OF CONGRESS. IN ADDITION TO MOBILIZING LATINO SUPPORT FOR IMMIGRATION REFORM THROUGH DIRECT CONTACT, TRADITIONAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA WAS USED TO CONVEY INFORMATION AND ENCOURAGE ACTION. NCLRAF WORKED IN COALITION WITH PROMINENT CIVIL RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS, UNIONS, AND OTHER ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS TO URGE NATIONAL POLITICAL LEADERS TO AMPLIFY THEIR ADVOCACY FOR IMMIGRATION REFORM. NCLRAF ALSO PARTICIPATED IN SIGNIFICANT COALITION-WIDE IMMIGRATION REFORM EFFORTS, AMONG THEM THE FAST FOR FAMILIES CAMPAIGN THAT URGED THE WHITE HOUSE TO GRANT ADMINISTRATIVE RELIEF TO QUALIFYING UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS, SUSTAINED ADVOCACY EFFORTS DIRECTED AT THE HOUSE MINORITY LEADER, AND OTHER INITIATIVES, WITH SUPPORT THROUGH TRADITIONAL MEDIA, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND FIELD WORK. NCLRAF PUBLISHED SEVEN BLOGS ON IMMIGRATION REFORM ON ITS DEDICATED HUFFINGTON POST WEBPAGE. NCLRAF CONCENTRATED ITS IMMIGRATION REFORM WORK IN CALIFORNIA, NORTH CAROLINA, NEW JERSEY, COLORADO, FLORIDA, TEXAS, AND MARYLAND.

NCLRAF BEGAN BLOGGING ON THE HUFFINGTON POST IN JUNE 2014, AND FROM JULY TO SEPTEMBER 2014 PUBLISHED FIVE BLOGS COMMENTING ON THE 2014 MIDTERM ELECTIONS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF PARTICIPATION AND ON ISSUES OF CONCERN TO HISPANICS SUCH AS RACIAL INJUSTICE AND THE IMPACT OF SOUND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES.
