Financial Statement Notes

Part X, Line 2:

The Agency is exempt from federal income taxes as an organization described under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3), except for net income derived from unrelated business activities, if any, and is exempt from income taxes on related activities pursuant to Section 509(a). ASC No. 740-10, "Income Taxes," prescribes a comprehensive model for how an organization should measure, recognize, present, and disclose uncertain tax positions taken on its tax returns. The Agency believes that it has appropriate support for tax positions taken and, as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements. The Agency's policy is to recognize interest related to unrecognized tax benefits in interest expense and penalties in operating expenses. The Agency's open audit periods are 2014 through 2016.

ASC No. 740-10, "Income Taxes," prescribes a comprehensive model for how an organization should measure, recognize, present, and disclose uncertain tax positions taken on its tax returns. The Agency believes that it has appropriate support for tax positions taken and, as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements. The Agency's policy is to recognize interest related to unrecognized tax benefits in interest expense and penalties in operating expenses. The Agency's open audit periods are 2014 through 2016.
