“TEAM4kids was organized in 2012 in response to a deep concern from the community and its leaders that children were not being treated for child abuse and molestation. The goal of TEAM4kids is to promote growth in physical and emotional health by facilitating services to help individuals develop produstive lives in a supportive and friendly environment through listening and undersstanding. TEAM4kids provides referral services that focus on the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and adults. We will provide referral services for the mental health needs of the community through education and counseling with an emphasis on the prevention of and recovery from abuse, neglect, and victimization. Often these services are not readily available and/or often not affordable, therefore, in order to execute our referral services to children, the healing process and not worry about how to pay for services. The referrals for counseling services are availble for persons age five through eighteen provided by licensed, master degreed professionals. TEAM4kids also will implement an Adolescent Counseling and Extended Referral Program for ages eighteen to twenty one. Individuals will also be referred for counseling services that are over twenty-one on a referral or as needed basis, based on their past and current situations. Our referral counseling services will not be limited to the current offering, but as we see a need for other counseling or prevention services, we will implemsent those particular services in our program.
