A portion of funding was used to acquire new aquaculture tanks, aeration pump, air valves, airline tubing, and plumbing materials, and related installation work.”

“Funding provided to develop and implement milkweed for monarchs. This project established more than 6,000 milkweed and other flowering plants in and around landfall lake, a 15 acre lake in the private community in new hanover county, north carolina. The lake is part of landfall's stormwarter management infrastructure. The shoreline planting was designed to increase the lake's floral diversity, storm water filtration, and to monitor and create a habitat for the monarch butterfly. Monitoring included observing the plants with attention to the monarch butterfly develoment throughtout their full life cycle. The project was funded by landfall lake neighborhood”
“During 2015, coastal plains conservation group conducted a capital campaign to raise the necessary fund need to buy and protect a 10.5 acre tract of longleaf pine habitat in pender county, nc. The purchase of the tract is important habitat for the red-cockaded woodpecker which is listed on the endangered species list. It is also critical habitat for the state-listed carolina gopher frog, carolina pigmy rattlesnake, and venus' flytrap.”
