“Client Note 1 - 2013 990 InformationThe Charles Evans Foundation made a donation to The Adrienne Jules Foundation in 2013 to advance their mission to eliminate health disparities through public education. Building upon previous program development, The Adrienne Jules Foundation used this donation to expand its program with specific focus on increasing the numbers of organizations that are in the Addiction Incorporated Tobacco Education Advocacy and Action Coalition, develop a common core standards curriculum that helps youth in grades 6 through 12 make ethical decision, make healthy choices and embrace the idea that one person can effect considerable change. As a result of the donation, the Foundation reached close to two percent of the population with messages about the effects of tobacco and smoking, increased the number of organizations in the Addiction Incorporated Coalition Network by 15% and created a curriculum that is the foundation for the 2014 effort.In addition, the donation helped to maintain the program, staff and ensure quality outreach and education. Under the board's direction, The Adrienne Jules Foundation determined that its main focus in 2013 would be expansion, refinement and further development of the Addiction Incorporated Tobacco Education Program. The emphasis was on reaching youth with the anti-smoking message, bringing the education, advocacy and policy impact programs to Ten Priority States in which smoking rates are the highest for underserved populations and where CDC funding is underutilized.”

Building upon previous program development, The Adrienne Jules Foundation used this donation to expand its program with specific focus on increasing the numbers of organizations that are in the Addiction Incorporated Tobacco Education Advocacy and Action Coalition, develop a common core standards curriculum that helps youth in grades 6 through 12 make ethical decision, make healthy choices and embrace the idea that one person can effect considerable change. As a result of the donation, the Foundation reached close to two percent of the population with messages about the effects of tobacco and smoking, increased the number of organizations in the Addiction Incorporated Coalition Network by 15% and created a curriculum that is the foundation for the 2014 effort.In addition, the donation helped to maintain the program, staff and ensure quality outreach and education. Under the board's direction, The Adrienne Jules Foundation determined that its main focus in 2013 would be expansion, refinement and further development of the Addiction Incorporated Tobacco Education Program. The emphasis was on reaching youth with the anti-smoking message, bringing the education, advocacy and policy impact programs to Ten Priority States in which smoking rates are the highest for underserved populations and where CDC funding is underutilized. |
