“The goldlab foundation celebrated its 8th year of running the annual goldlab symposium, may 19-20, 2017, which took place at the university of colorado boulder. The title of this year's conference was "evolution: from the lab to the living room". Sixteen speakers presented over two days to an audience of over 450 people. The videos of these talks are posted online and are available to the public(http://goldlabfoundation.org/symposia/8th- annual-goldlab-symposium/) glf has also supported the rocky conference for the international society for computational biology in aspen, co, december 8-10, 2016. The presenters of the rocky conference are scientists representing a broad spectrum of universities, industrial enterprises, government laboratories, and medical libraries from around the world. Additionally, this year the glf incubated the colorado longitudinal study. An organization which has since spun out into its own 501(c)(3) and is building a large-scale, longitudinal biobank in colorado to enable advances in health. A total of 121,185 was fundraised to support these efforts. The majority of donors were corporate, one was an individual charitable trust.”
