Philadelphia Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association

“The organization ("tma philadelphia") has four classes of memberships including the following: 1. Members - individuals practicing and specializing as professionals in the process of corporate workout, including, but not limited to, turnaround managers and consultants, lawyers, investment bankers, bankers, judges, accountants, etc. 2. Government/academic - individuals who are engaged in the academic profession and who participate or contribute to the turnaround management and insolvency business through their teaching, writing, research or other professional activities. Also, individuals who are employed at a federal, state, or local governmental agency or who are members of a legislative or judicial body. 3. Next generation - new members age 35 and under at the time of application. Discounted fees are available for two years or until the member reaches the age of 36. 4. Full-time student - individuals who are attending a college or university full-time, and who are interested in pursuing studies related to the turnaround management business. Students may not hold elective office. All members of tma philadelphia must also be members in good standing of tma international, meaning they must have paid all dues or other indebtedness to tma international. Members in good standing are entitled to recieve the services and benefits provided by tma international and tma philadelphia, and to participate in member activities including service on boards and committees. No member may receive a share of organization's profits or excess dues or a share of the organization's net assets upon the organization's dissolution.”

“The officers of the organization review the form 990. Afterwards, a copy of the form 990 is provided to the members of the board of directors for approval prior to filing the return with the irs.”

“Each year, members of the board of directors are required to complete a questionnaire in response to the conflict of interest policy and disclose any transactions or relationships that would give rise to a conflict.”

“The organization does not make its governing documents, policies or financial information available to the general public for inspection.”
