Fas salaries are recommended by the divisional dean and approved by the dean of fas. The final salaries, benefits, and perquisites for directors of centers are approved by the provost in consultation with the appropriate administrative offices. Merit increases are determined by the provost of the university in consultation with the fas office of faculty affairs.”
