“By the grace, direction, and support of god, legacy was able to hold 18 fishing retreats & events in 2024: including 2 family retreats, 1 teens for christ retreat, 4 mntc lakeside academy fishing retreats, 5 mntc men fishing retreats, 2 mntc graduate father son retreats, 3 mens fishing retreats, 3 fishing contests for first nations indian children, a 480-500 person mntc men & their families picnic, and a 220 person legacy banquet. In total, we shared the good news of jesus with over 1300 people in 2024. 5 people were baptized at our family retreats this summer, and several people were led deeper into their walk with the lord jesus. The holy spirit definitely enriched the lives of our guests, our guides, and our legacy retreat leaders. Smiles abound on legacy fishing retreats. Fun is had by all. We fish a lot, we eat well, we sing joyfully, hear messages of truth and share great adventures, but be sure of this: that god's kingdom is being expanded because of your faithfulness. Men, women and children are choosing jesus as their savior, and men are dedicating their lives to serve jesus. Baptism has become a wonderful addition to our retreats. Many, many are getting to know jesus better and better. The truth of god's word is being proclaimed, people are learning how to pray and share their faith. Leaders are being built, discipleship is being practiced, and relationships are being mended and growing stronger. Legacy fishing retreat is an outdoor ministry dedicated to serving jesus. Paul said "to live is christ." this july, legacy hosted its 7th annual legacy family fishing retreat called "jesus on the river" in chamberlain, sd and in august we hosted our 5th annual legacy family fishing retreat called "jesus on the lake" at pike point resort, near bemidji, mn. "now to him who is able to do exceedingly more than all we can ask or imagine, by his power that works in us, to him be the glory thru jesus christ and his church to all generations for ever and ever.
