“The organization was served by 40 volunteers in additional to its board members and officers. The volunteers include individuals who are mechanics and restore and provide maintenance on the aircraft; pilots who provide traning, organizational assistance and program design; and, administrative volunteers who provide program design and fund-raising services, and act as docents and grounds crew while missions are being performed. The board members donate considerable time to the organization and are active in carrying out and assisting with all the work noted above.”

“The organization educated all generations about the unique role played by the huey helicopter during the vietnam conflict and continued its ongoing restoration of the historic aircraft. The organization is open to the public during restoration. Helicopter presentations were conducted at veterans events held locally, as well as at veterans events held throughout pa and other states. The organization exhibited the huey to 25,000-30,000 visitors at a total of 66 events in 2024 - 14 flight events, 3 speaker events, 47 hosted hangar visits, and 2 fundraising events. The organization continued the preservation and publication of the oral history of vietnam veterans by sharing stories and accounts of their heroic service. The organization supports veterans by offering ptsd therapy and counseling services to area veterans as needed.”
