Dogs in Danger Rescue Inc.

Dogs in danger was founded to assist southern "kill shelters" which need assistance with placing their dogs with northern rescues to avoid euthanizing. We are a foster based rescue, in which houses the rescued animals until they are adopted. When the dogs are in our care, we provide veternary assistance, care, training, etc. We review and screen potential adopters to place the dogs in permanent homes, as well as stay in touch with adopters to ensure all is well. Our fosters are extremely helpful, caring and educated. We currently help over sixty different shelters in placing their animals. In 2015 the organization saved 2,801 southern dogs from rural high kill shelters.

The mission of the organization is to save southern dogs in overcrowed high kill shelters. Many of the dogs would be euthanized due to lack of space if not saved by a northern rescue. They are taken into our foster homes until they are adopted. Promoting fostering/adoption is also one of our goals.
