Mission

The organization received and cleaned 5,000 wigs, in conjunction with Look Good Feel Better, it held numerous presentations throughout the greater Washington, DC. area using 2,500 of the wigs for the presentations; in addition it held events in Florida, Maryland and New York to promote the wig exchange program and formed professional relationship with hospitals in Maryland, Wash., DC, Sloan Kettering in New York and Slyvester Hospital in Florida. The organization provided wigs to over 5,000 women within the United States.

EBeauty Community Inc. incorporated as a nonprofit in 2011 to help support woman undergoing treatment for cancer through the EBeauty Community, Wig Exchange Program and other charitable initiatives. To implement its business strategy and have a broader reach EBeauty developed an internet-based platform www.EBeauty.com which provides no-cost access to wigs for cancer patients.

IRS990/Desc0In 2019 EBeauty Community again had a significant increase in the number of wigs delivered to women who are undergoing cancer treatment and continued with its collaboration with its partner hospitals. Our outreach has grown and the partnership with Paul Mitchell Beauty Schools who cleans and refurbishes every wig has created the opportunity to make this a reality. With over 110 beauty schools throughout the country Paul Mitchell and EBeauty now are providing wigs in hospitals located in: Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, North Carolina, Texas, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, Montana and New York. EBeauty an amazing opportunity to continue to expand our program to: Paul Mitchell Beauty Schools in Tyson's Corner, Miami, Houston, Pasadena, Sherman Oaks, and Milwaukee. It held numerous presentations throughout the greater Washington, DC. area using thousands of the wigs for the presentations; in addition it held events in Texas, California, Florida, Maryland and Washington, D.C. to promote the wig exchange program, and continued its development with hospitals in Maryland, Wash., DC, Sloan Kettering in New York and Slyvester Hospital in Florida, Sibley Hospital in Wash., DC. The organization provided wigs to over 7,000 women within the United States. Today, EBeauty receives over 2000 wigs per month. In the last 8 years, we have received and distributed over 30,000 wigs to women in need. EBeauty's primary objective is to provide all women who could otherwise not afford a wig the opportunity to obtain a wig for free. Over the last 8 years approximately 30,500 women have received or donated wigs through the Wig Exchange Program. Today, EBeauty runs the only national wig exchange program in the US. supporting women undergoing treatment for cancer. The Wig Exchange Program seeks to help every cancer patient gain access to a quality wig for free. It's a simple premise that has a powerful impact on women undergoing treatment for cancer, women who have completed cancer treatment donate their used wigs, which are then refurbished and distributed free of charge, to a woman undergoing treatment. In March 2017, in partnership with the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami, we piloted "EBeauty Hospital Program". Through this new program, we have been able to go directly to the women who need us the most. Based on the success of this model, in August, we replicated EBeauty Hospital Program at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital's Lombardi Cancer Center. To date our hospital partners include: John Hopkins Hospital Systems (Sibley) (Suburban) (Washington DC); MedStar Georgetown (Washington DC); Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (FL); Baptist Hospital (FL); Houston Methodist (TX); Methodist Hospital of Southern California(CA); Mass General (Boston, MA) and we are involved with the BOTSOGO program with Mass General and Harvard University to provide over 1000 wigs to Botswana. L'Oréal Paris awarded EBeauty founder, Carolyn Keller, the prestigious honor of being a 2018 Women of Worth, a $10,000 grant/award which recognizes women that are making an extraordinary difference in the world. L'Oréal Paris supports these inspiring women through grants and by raising awareness for their causes.
