“Organizations primary exempt purpose - to provide a proffesional organizational structure for member montessori schools to encourage and promote standards of excellence and ethical business practices, monitor and disseminate pertinent educational legislation information, conduct a consolidated public relations program, act as a catalyst for harmonious interaction between members and other educational organizations, and to support best practices in montessori education.”

“The annual conference was held on february of 2020. The immediate objective of this activity was to provide professional development to members and guests of the association, and to provide a forum for networking. The long-term objective is to support and improve the education of children in member schools by enhancing the knowledge and skills of the professionals working in these schools. Approximately 550 montessori teachers and administrators attended the conference, which offered 30 sessions over a two-day period. Over 3,000 contact hours were completed.”

“Three membership meetings were held during the 2019-2020 year. The objective of these meetings is to conduct all business requiring participation of the general membership, provide professional development to the members in attendance, and to host a forum for networking.”

“The associations web site was relaunched during 2013-2014 and maintained throughout 2019-2020, the objective of which is to provide a communications portal for the public and the member community. Functionality included on the web site allowed for employment information, regulatory updates, conference information and association news. All of these helped members to be more informed on a number of issues, which enabled member schools to run more effectively.”
