“To encourage, empower, and establish men experiencing homelessness on the journey to self-reliance through employment, education, housing and counseling servicews.”

“Journey is a program that works. 70% of journey participants become employed. Many start with part time or temporary employment that progress to full time employment. During 2013 journey served 20,440 meals. Journey provided 10,220.00 nights of shelter and safety. Journey provided job readiness and job retention classes and workshops to 90% of journey resididents. Journey provides weekly meetings with staff and residents to monitor and support resident moving from homelessness to self sufficiency journey provides essential services such as shelter, food, clothing and referrals to physical health and behavioral health services. Counseling and coaching are provided in house. Primary services are information and referral to community services, job readiness and search, life management skills, access to ged training/testing and on site tutoring, case management, basic math, and reading and computer skills. Journey offers basic computer skills training each saturday morning. Because approximately 85% of all jobs searches and follow ups are electronic, acquiring basic computer skills is a necessity.”
