Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Sonima health and wellness foundation's primary mission is to research, investigate, analyze and implement ways to provide health and wellness best practices, primarily to underserved students from preschool through high school; to provide the results of such investigation, research, analysis and implementation to the general public; and to encourage the general public to consider, discuss, and comment upon such results and to make other proposals for such consideration, discussion, and comment. The organization's primary activities include providing grants to schools (k-12) and other community based nonprofit organizations to support their programs to improve the health and wellness of their students. Funds may also be used to hire qualified yoga instructors to implement the programs and to provide short-term enrichment programs. The organization also supports research at various universities throughout the united states with the goal of developing and improving the curriculums being
