Bob Beattie Ski Foundation

To preserve and celebrate the history of ski racing, and advocate for its healthy future by finding and supporting youth ski and snowboard programs welcoming children of all means and background, run with good governance by passionate and exceptional leaders. This continues the work of ski racing impresario and network commentator, bob beattie (1933-2018), whose legacy guides the foundation's actions.

To preserve and celebrate the history of ski racing, and advocate for its healthy future.the organization will seek to accomplish its mission through (1) education about the past, with an emphasis on the history of the world pro skiing tour (2) promoting strong participation in the present, with an emphasis on the dual-racing format, and (3) advocating for a vibrant future for the sport by means ranging from affordability and access to format and venues.education about the past may be achieved by such activities as supporting museum installations recalling world pro skiing, and organizing reunions of past heroes to share their first person stories with new generations for skiers. We can support participation by engaging in and helping to guide ski racing events. We can advocate to organizations how best to connect and build a strong and growing fan-base that will help ensure the sport's future.
