“Mobile action ministries was organized july 26, 2011, exclusively for charitable purposes. We are a minnesota non-profit, 501c3 tax-exempt public charity. Our mission is to prepare and serve hot, nutritionally balanced meals to food insecure individuals using a licensed mobile kitchen. Being food insecure means that an individual does not always know where they will find their next meal.1 hunger in minnesota has doubled in five years. One in ten minnesotans runs out of resources before the end of every month, missing a meal every other day. That's 100 million meals missed every year.2 as a community partner with hunger-free minnesota, our goal is to increase the meal capacity for minnesota shelters and emergency housing.3 peter and cary bolstorff, stillwater, founded the program under the umbrella of another non-profit organization in 2002. After construction of the first vehicle, the first meal was served in 2004. Partner locations include the dorothy day center, shobi's table and valley outreach stillwater.”

“Mobile action ministries was created to support the purchase of a new vehicle to grow the program in geographic reach, number of locations and meals served. The long-term vision is to operate the kitchen six days each week of the year with two service locations each day using all volunteer service teams. In 2014, we served 96.9% of the days scheduled to serve, we served 17,620 meals, utilizing 500 volunteers. The organization has seven certified food managers registered with the minnesota department of health.”
