Mission

The organization was formed to promote and foster the arts, particularly the ballet, through perfomance and public education, with a particular emphasis on an integration of various art forms, including dance, music, the visual arts, and written and spoken word.

Balletcollective brings together artists, poets, composers, choreographers, and designers to collaborate as equals, exchanging ideas to absorb each others' influence throughout the creation of distinctive works of art.

Each officer and member of the board of directors complete an annual disclosure statement as required by the organization's conflict of interest policy. These individuals are also required to notify the board of directors when any transactions arise that could involve an actual or possible conflict of interest. The disclosure statements and any discosures made are reviewed by the board for compliance to the organization's conflict of interest policy. If any disclosures require further investigation, the conflicts committee or board work to investigate and resolve any such disclosures. Any transactions which require review under the organization's conflict of interest policy are considered by the board or directors. Any individual with a conflict, or who is a party to the transaction being considered, may not participate in the deliberation or decision with respect to the transaction. The board of directors reviews and approves whether to enter into the transaction being considered.

Compensation is paid in the form of standard fees paid per project, based on comparable artistic fees, and approved by the board of directors as part of the approval of the organization's annual budget.
