New era is a consortium that fosters regional partnerships among the public colleges and universities in the new north to better serve the educational needs of the 1.2 million people in northeast wisconsin.

New era colleges and universities have launched the bachelor of science in engineering technology - mechanical, electrical, and environmental. There are over 100 students currently enrolled in the program to achieve the new bachelor of science degrees. New era with regional partners conducted an information technology talent market analysis in 2014-2015 to better understand the demand and supply of it professionals and make recommendations on pragmatic steps to increase the it talent pipeline in the region. New era is focused on providing students with internship opportunities and in collaboration with the new manufacturing alliance is providing new ways for students to learn about a wide range of internships in advanced manufacturing.
