Statement of Program Service Accomplishments,Form 990,Part III,line4aDuring FY 24, the OJRC continued to provide legal support to individuals who were navigating the criminal legal system or who had been harmed by the system. Our legal work included working on two exonerations, compensation cases for two exonerees, mass case review due to law enforcement misconduct, providing legal services to women at Coffee Creek, and supporting justice for youth who have been excessively punished. The OJRC provided legal services or support to over 700 Oregonains who would otherwise not have received it but for organization. Additionally, during this time, over 25% of the OJRC staff are formerly incarcerated, making the OJRC one of the largest second chance employers in the civil rights community.

Our legal work included working on two exonerations, compensation cases for two exonerees, mass case review due to law enforcement misconduct, providing legal services to women at Coffee Creek, and supporting justice for youth who have been excessively punished. The OJRC provided legal services or support to over 700 Oregonains who would otherwise not have received it but for organization. Additionally, during this time, over 25% of the OJRC staff are formerly incarcerated, making the OJRC one of the largest second chance employers in the civil rights community.
