Events, antimicrobial stewardship, and venous thromboembolism. The sps network has developed specific operational definitions for hacs and sps pediatric prevention bundles and pediatric recommended bundles that are available on its public website, guided hospitals in adopting cultural transformation strategies, built a robust data collection and analysis infrastructure, led and executed hundreds of educational opportunities for hospitals within and outside of its network, engaged patients and families in safety efforts in new and unique ways. Through implementation of the network's best practices, children are being protected from harm and costs are being removed from the health care system. Since 2012, this national effort has led to an estimated savings of more than 151 million and saved 9,361 children from serious harm, with a consistent upward trend in harm prevented every month (as of september 2017). In 2017, also sps hosted 125 learning events.

THE SPS NETWORK HAS DEVELOPED SPECIFIC OPERATIONAL DEFINITIONS FOR HACS AND SPS PEDIATRIC PREVENTION BUNDLES AND PEDIATRIC RECOMMENDED BUNDLES THAT ARE AVAILABLE ON ITS PUBLIC WEBSITE, GUIDED HOSPITALS IN ADOPTING CULTURAL TRANSFORMATION STRATEGIES, BUILT A ROBUST DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS INFRASTRUCTURE, LED AND EXECUTED HUNDREDS OF EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR HOSPITALS WITHIN AND OUTSIDE OF ITS NETWORK, ENGAGED PATIENTS AND FAMILIES IN SAFETY EFFORTS IN NEW AND UNIQUE WAYS. THROUGH IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NETWORK'S BEST PRACTICES, CHILDREN ARE BEING PROTECTED FROM HARM AND COSTS ARE BEING REMOVED FROM THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. SINCE 2012, THIS NATIONAL EFFORT HAS LED TO AN ESTIMATED SAVINGS OF MORE THAN 151 MILLION AND SAVED 9,361 CHILDREN FROM SERIOUS HARM, WITH A CONSISTENT UPWARD TREND IN HARM PREVENTED EVERY MONTH (AS OF SEPTEMBER 2017).
