Mission

Through social and political organization and mobilization of its constituency, the adac will foster and develop az leaders. The adac will promote civic engagement, equal access to higher education for immigrant youth, strengthen relationships, and provide services that advances family integration.

It is the mission of the arizona dream act coalition adac to advocate for the rights of our undocumented immigrant communities.

The executive director of the organization distributes a pdf copy of the 990 return to all board members for review and comment prior to being filed.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

At each board and committee meeting, if there is a discussion of selecting or engaging a vendor or service provider, all in attendance are asked to recuse themselves from this discussion if there could be a perceived conflict. Annually, the organization reviews and discusses the conflict of interest policy and requests that each board member list and acknowledge any known conflicts.

The board may hire and compensate individuals for necessary services rendered to the organization so long as such compensation is reasonable. The board shall determine reasonable compensation amounts based upon compensation paid by similarly situated nonprofits for like services. The terms of such compensation and information relied upon shall be recorded in writing. ADAC LEADERSHIP PARTICIPATED IN SUCCESSFUL EFFORTS TO INCLUDE FAMILIES LIVING IN PHOENIX, IN THE CARES RELIEF FUND, REGARDLESS OF THEIR IMMIGRATION STATUS. HAVING TO SHIFT FROM FUNDRAISING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS TO FUNDRAISING TO HELP THE IMMIGRANT COMMUNITY WITH BASIC NEEDS LIKE RENT AND BILLS. ADAC ALSO JOIN EFFORTS WITH PARTNERS LIKE CORAZON LATINO, NARAL, AND PODER LATINX TO CONNECT MORE THAN 50 VOLUNTEERS THAT WOULD DISTRIBUTE FOOD BOXES ASSISTING BETWEEN 400 AND 600 FAMILIES WEEKLY DURING SEVERAL MONTHS.
