Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Bichon Rescue Brigade is an all-volunteer group whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and place Bichon Frise and mixed-breed dogs into responsible and caring homes. BRB rescues at-risk, last-chance & special need dogs typically in need of major medical care or behavior training at significant cost. BRB participates in animal rescue fairs and events, and works to educate our communities about the importance of spaying/neutering and its impact toward controlling canine over-population.

Average cost of supplies per dog is $60 (not including medical care costs.) This also includes costs for dogs in our Forever Foster program, who are not adoptable due to medical or behavior. BRB provides lifelong care -- food, grooming, supplies -- at approx. $1000 per month for 20-25 dogs in the program.
