“During 2020, the organization had the following program accomplishments: - completed 21 "candid candidates", which are live conversations with those running for office in salt lake so the residents can learn more about them. - completed 40 "townhalls", which are live events for local leaders to speak to salt lake residents. - organized or sponsored 4 covid-19 vaccine community clinics. Last fall, the west side of salt lake city had vaccination rates lower than those in other parts of the city. To help increase vaccination rates in the community, west view media in partnership with the westside coalition hosted 4 covid-19 vaccine clinics in october, november, and january. The events were promoted in both english and in spanish on the organization's facebook page, reaching more than 7,000 westside salt lake city residents. Organized or sponsored 2 flue shop community clinics. West view media partnered with the westside coalition and neighborhood house in december to host two no-cost, drive-through community flu shot clinics. Free food and vision screenings were also offered on a first-come first serve, basis. The events were promoted on the organization's facebook page, reaching 1,821 west side salt lake city residents. - published and delivered 4 issues.
