“Continue to expand parent skills training at early learning colleges for savannah inner-city parents with children ages birth-to-3/4/5 years beyond the original nine targeted neighborhoods secf now serves, to those additional residential and church locations secf has been asked to serve with sessions (baby showers and special events) at each location to attract and introduce parents to early learning college training, while providing naeyc accredited childcare, skills acquisition measurement and increasing attendance of both parents and children. To accomplish this, the secf consults with new parents to provide a mutually developed needs assessment for early childhood education and parent skill enhancement for those resource-challenged families in the greater savannah, georgia area. Further, secf continues its work with georgia southern university on database development to credibly measure parental application of skills learned using k-4 progress of children with early learning college parents compared to children without early learning college parents.”
