Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

During the year the organization continuted to make siginficant strides in constructing the framework for a variety of key initatives aimed at the betterment of women and girls in southwest florida. Among those was the women's fund loan program which is intended to assist women owned small businesses who are unable to secure financing through traditional means. Also in the development stages, the organization began its planning for the match savings program which designed to provide financial literacy training and matched savings accounts for low-moderate income women seeking to purchase assets such as a first home, starting or expanding a small business, and securing education and training. The match savings program is set to launch in 2014. Finally the organization has identified a regional need to address human trafficking and is working with the human trafficking resource center and local educational institutions to develop resources for raising awareness and provide greater support for victims.
