“Washington First Robotics implements the first programs in the state of Washington as after school activities for grades K-12. We are affiliated with the national US First program. Our mission is to encourage students to become science and technology leaders. We do this by staging science and technology related after school programs, robotics contests, professional development, and community volunteer opportunities across the entire state. Washington First Robotics is a large community of teams across Washington state. In addition to the dollars raised by Washington First Robotics and reflected in the organization's financials, Washington First Robotics is instrumental in helping raise funds for robotics teams who participate in the First Lego League, First Tech Challenge and First Robotics programs. Specific grant makers that Washington First Robotics assisted with include: Washington State Legislature and the Office Of Superintendent of Public Instruction. We promote science, engineering, technology, and math through collaboration, confidence building, and gracious professionalism throughout the Pacific Northwest.”
