Members include hawaii pacific health (hph), the queens health systems (qhs), kuakini medical center (kmc), hawaii medical services association (hmsa), castle medical center (cmc), and the university of hawaii (uh).

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 7A

Each of hph, qhs, kmc, hmsa, and cmc shall have the power to appoint one director to the board of directors. Unless otherwise designated by such member, each shall appoint its chief executive officer. Uh shall have the power to appoint five directors to the board of directors. Unless otherwise designated by uh, the following individuals shall also be appointed directors: the president of uh, the chancellor of uh at manoa, the vice chancellor for research and graduate education of uh at manoa, the director of cancer research center of hawaii, and the dean of the john a. Burns school of medicine.

Notwithstanding any other provision of its bylaws, hawaii cancer consortium shall not take the following actions without first obtaining the approval of at least 3/4 of the members, including the university of hawaii: (1) amend the articles; (2) merge the corporation with any entity; (3) dissolve the corporation; (4) acquire shares in another corporation; (5) sell, lease, exchange, encumber or dispose of 25% or more of the property and assets held by the corporation to any entity; (6) remove a member of the corporation; and (7) issue a membership in the corporation to anyone other than the current members.
