The Heat is Power Association (HiP) focused on promoting the common business interests of the waste heat to power (WHP) industry by educating policymakers and the public about the benefits of WHP. Accomplishments include developing an educational pager on the zero-emission characteristics of WHP and how WHP differs from combined heat and power and developing a case study presentation on WHP, among other activities. The materials are publicly available to download on HiP's website. The materials were distributed to HiP's mailing list and to key legislators/regulators.--
The Heat is Power Association (HiP) focused on promoting the common business interests of the waste heat to power (WHP) industry by participating in and sharing information at large forums and annual meetings about WHP and through participation in one off meetings with key groups. HiP promoted WHP through participation/membership in the Wisconsin Industrial Energy Group, Ohio Manufacturers Association, LDES Council Net-Zero Webinar, National Clean Energy Week, and the National Association of State Energy Officials.--
The Heat is Power Association (HiP) focused on promoting the common business interests of the waste heat to power (WHP) industry by meeting with federal officials to discuss the implementation of key tax credits that incentivize/apply to certain WHP projects and responding to RFIs that affect the WHP industry. HiP met with the Department of Energy and the Department of Treasury to discuss implementation of the clean electricity investment (Sec. 48E) and production (Sec. 45Y) tax credits and submitted comments to the Department of Treasury on Notices 2022-49 and 2022-51, among other activities related to policy that impacts the WHP industry.--
