“Various topics concerning michigan related issues are posed by the organization, and the impending challenge was for michigan students to create a viable solution to the problem through their research, writing, and creativity. Once the ideas were postulated by the students, the organization helped the students present their ideas and theories to the michigan legislative body. Various legislators evaluated the content of the students' essays and chose the best as winners of the essay contest. Trophies were awarded to the winners along with cash prizes to be used by the students' in their education.”
