Mission

The nature of the activities to be conducted, or the purposes to be promoted or carried out by the corporation shall be first, to serve as a business league under section 501(c)(6) of the internal revenue code of 1986 and the regulations thereunder, as they now exist or may hereafter be amended (the "code"), composed of aaa/caa clubs ("automobile clubs") that become members of the corporation ("member clubs") and second, to promote the common interests of the member clubs, by implementing and participating in events, meetings, analyses, communications and other activities in furtherance of the corporation's purposes including (but not by way of limitation) the following: (a)to provide a forum for senior level executives of the member clubs to exchange information and share ideas regarding operating issues to help member clubs succeed in their responsibilities to their staffs and to their aaa/caa individual members. (b)to promote the autonomy of automobile clubs within the federation structure of the national association of clubs (the "association"). (c)to provide a forum for member clubs to share and to gain knowledge of best practices. (d)to keep member clubs abreast of internal and external developments and issues at the association level and to express and advocate to the association the ideas, concerns and unique interests of member clubs (e)to encourage and provide a structure for member clubs to work with, communicate among and support one another with mutual respect and to promote such cooperation and respect among all automobile clubs, regardless of size. (f) to engage in any and all lawful activities incidental to the foregoing purposes, except as restricted herein. The corporation shall be empowered only to engage in activities in furtherance of the above purposes and shall not conduct any activities not permitted to be carried on by a corporation exempt from federal income tax under section 50l(a) of the code. The corporation may not be organized for profit or to engage in an activity ordinarily carried on for profit. The corporation shall not engage in promoting or propagandizing or otherwise attempt to influence legislation, nor participate or intervene in any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office.
