Mission

To serve as the principal advocate for business in partnership with the community; support and assist existing businesses; act as the primary catalyst in promoting the economic health of the springfield area, stimulating jobs and improving the quality of life.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Business exposure & networking - through networking events (including good morning, springfield!; business after hours events; business to business connection events), business referrals and a variety of marketing options, the chamber provides the best opportunity for business owners and professionals to network with their peers, develop business connections and elevate their companies' images in our community.
Activity 3
Economic development - in 2012, the springfield area chamber of commerce continued to place a priority on regional economic sustainability. As a result, the chamber intensified its focus on economic development and strengthening the positive business climate for the springfield area through programs like the existing business support program which helped existing businesses grow, overcome challenges and discover new economic opportunities.
